Tyler Putnam is a graduate of Dartmouth College where he trained as an actor and majored in music. This past summer he made his European debut singing a recital with Concerti in Monte Argentario in Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano, Italy. Last year he won awards from The Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, The Gerda Lissner Foundation, and The Schuyler Foundation for Career Bridges for the promise he shows as an opera singer. In February 2011 he sang in Portland, Maine with The Longfellow Chorus, premiering several new compositions, and in the summer of 2010 he starred in The Threepenny Opera with The Princeton Festival and sang in The Chocolate Soldier at Bard College's SummerScape Festival. He spent two summers singing with Opera North in Lebanon, NH and one summer as an acting intern at the New London Barn Playhouse.

Tyler Putnam grew up on Chebeague Island, Maine.
